This is a 360 video, meaning you can watch in from your VR supported smartphone or from any VR headset. Just search for the YoutubeVR app in your Oculus or just open the Oculus browser and look for Youtube. If you have HTC Vive, you can do similarly from the browser.
If you have the Google Cardboard you can press on the VR goggles icon, which then will split your screen to two. One for each eye. Then all you need to do is playing the phone in the Google Cardboard or any other VR headset you have and look around.
This video is supporting spatial sound (which is like surround sound but for VR). No need for any special headphones. Your AirPods are just fine. You can plug any headphones and experience the sound in 3D
